Outdoor Wooden Learning Centre

This complete design and build solution was installed at Cardiff Metropolitan University Cyncoed Campus within a woodland area designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Due to the slope of the ground and in order to minimise the impact on the site and especially the mature tree roots, the classroom and surrounding deck were raised up off the ground to give it a treehouse effect.

Due to restricted access and tree root protection orders this entire building was handmade on site by our specialist team.  Problems with unstable ground led to a custom mini piling solution with a total of 66 piles being used to support this elevated classroom and deck.
